Craving a rejuvenating weekend close to New York City? Looking for a mid-week getaway chock full of activities that range from golf, kayaking and hiking to antiquing, shopping at the local farmers markets and visiting museums like Dia:Beacon?
At The Garrison you can enjoy all of that, plus magnificent sunsets from our terraces overlooking the Hudson River followed by a memorable meal at our critically-acclaimed Valley restaurant.
With stunning views of the Hudson River, the golf course and surrounding countryside, our intimate four-room Inn offers guests a tranquil oasis from their daily routine. Designed to reflect a relaxed country elegance, the non-smoking rooms are done in soothing shades of sage, cream and mushroom. Each room features a king-sized bed with a marble and mosaic tile bathroom with walk-in shower. Room amenities include goose down duvet, luxurious linens, and pillows in soft, medium and firm; toiletries by Pharmacopia; in-room plasma TV; a mini-refrigerator; an in-room safe; hair-dryer and high-speed internet access. Each room includes a coffee-maker with coffee and tea cartridges, as well as complimentary fresh fruit, yogurt, granola bars and bottled water. (2) robes are available to use while you are our guests, and could be purchased as well, if desired.
We are a four-room country inn, with lovely and comfortable accommodation. Rooms are located on the second floor, accessible by two staircases (no elevator). We do not have bell service, room service, full-time round-the-clock reception staff or breakfast service (other than what is available at our Terrace Grill - see below). Inn guests have after-hours access to the building via a side door with their room key. While the inn is open on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays, these are especially quiet days with little staff or services, other than housekeeping and administration. Although peaceful and secure, the possible feeling of solitude and inactivity is not to everyone's liking. Weekends in season are typically quite busy, with many guests for dining, golf, parties and events.
Valley Restaurant and World's End Bar at The Garrison are open year-round Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings, and for Saturday and Sunday brunch. Our Terrace Grill and Bar at the Golf Pro Shop are open daily during golf season from 8am - 6pm, including morning items such as egg sandwiches, muffins & coffee. Nearby options for breakfast include the Garrison Cafe, and Hudson Hils and the Main Course in Cold Spring.
The Inn is quite busy on weekends spring through fall, so we recommend making your reservations well in advance. However, do give us a call if you make spontaneous plans for a getaway as we always welcome last minute reservations if space is available.

"After two years of personal training at the Fitness Center at The Garrison, this 63-yr-old body is at peak-performance--even my wife of 29 years says I never looked better. Chris Wise, Personal Trainer, saved the quality of my life. When Chris first met me I had been considered a "No Hope" case by three doctors, all of whom saw a wheelchair in my near future. Two years later, I walk erect without assistance and have a sense of total well-being. Most importantly, Chris has the experience to customize a routine for anyone, particularly for those clients with physical disabilities. Chris will be my Personal Trainer "til death due us part"!" Sid Gibson, Garrison
"Chris Wise has enabled me to become someone who is physically strong and very self assured. When I began seeing him I did not believe these attributes were attainable for me, having been in a coma for 2.5 months following a head-on collision. Utilizing his infinite knowledge of the body and excellent persona, Chris has tirelessly worked with me and empowered me to deal with my brain injury, spasticity and osteoarthritis. I am a new person thanks to Chris." Babette Barter, Garrison
